News of the World says the Spanish star is the latest name to appear on City’s wanted list for the summer market.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Real Madrid two summers ago, but has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Nou Camp until 2014.
City paid a record £32million for Robinho last summer but will have to smash that record in order to bring in Iniesta.
