Tevez has been out of action with a hamstring problem since the defeat at Liverpool and City boss Roberto Mancini revealed last week that the Argentine striker would be out for four weeks.
“I have played in the cup for three teams and know what an important competition it is. In some countries the domestic cup is not important,” said Tevez.
