Adebayor scored a hat-trick in City’s Europa League clash with Lech Poznan on Thursday night.
“I’m very happy [to have scored a hat-trick in Europe for City]” Adebayor told Channel 5.
“I’m delighted as I knew it was always going to be difficult for myself. I’m just here enjoying my game, training hard every day and today I had the chance to score a hat-trick.
“But the most important thing is to help the team win the game so I am very happy to score the goals today.”
“When the ball came [for the first goal], I saw the defender come, so I had to turn quickly and I think I finished it well.” Adebayor continued.
“David Silva gave me a perfect cross [for the second goal] and as you can see all I had to do was to put the ball into the goal and that is what I had done.
“So yeah, I’m very happy and delighted to score my first goals of the season and I hope there will be a lot [more] to come.”
