England boss Fabio Capello admitted last week that he hopes Bridge could still be a part of his squad for this summer’s World Cup finals.
A close friend of the player told the Sunday Mirror last night: “Nothing has changed or will change as far as Wayne is concerned.
“He thought long and hard about it and feels he was making the right decision for him and England.
“He cannot and will not play in the same side as John Terry, so unless that changes, England have to respect his decision and move on.”
