Adebayor is desperate to join Spurs in order to get regular first-team football.
The Mirror reports that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to bring in Adebayor in January, but wants City to pay half of the striker’s £120,000-a-week wages.
City are reportedly ready to let Adebayor leave in January following a series of bust-ups with manager Roberto Mancini.
