Man City target Maicon set for Inter stay

Reports have suggested that new Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is keen on signing the Brazil international.

Maicon’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, claims Inter rejected a £35million bid from City last season.

“This doesn’t surprise me because Mancini knows Maicon like no other and together they did great things and won so much,” he told fcinternews.it.

“But at Inter, Maicon has excellent terms with both the team and the club. And in any case I don’t think he is a player who could move in January.”

Caliendo added: “€40m? I don’t establish the price, but I know that last year an offer of that amount was refused.”
