Sky Sports News reports that Wright-Phillips is keen on leaving City after failing to hold down a regular first-team place at the club.
The 29-year-old has made only two starts under City boss Roberto Mancini and has been strongly linked with a move to Fulham.
City have yet to receive any acceptable offers for the winger, according to reports.
