Manchester United and Brighton have joined Luton in the chase for Ecuadorian wonderkid Oscar Zambrano.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the biggest talents in South American football and currently plays for Liga Deportiva Universitaria Quito in the Ecuadorian top flight.

Reports by El Futbolero says that Luton Town have been keeping tabs on the midfielder for a number of months, but now they face competition from Manchester United and Brighton.

All three clubs are reported to be interested in signing the youngster for a cut-price fee in the January transfer window.

Zambrano has been branded as “the new Caicedo” as he has a similar style of play as the Chelsea midfielder.

Luton are believed to be leading the race to sign the midfielder as they are reported to have already made an offer.
