Ferguson told MUTV: “I don’t think anything’s impossible in modern day football.
“As we experienced in 1998, we had a great lead – although in fairness that time we had horrendous injuries so we were unfortunate.
“The pool then compared to now is completely different. We have a strong squad, hopefully that helps us but without question today is a massive result for us.”
