Man Utd boss Ferguson: The transfer market is not feasible

Ferguson said: “There have been periods in football over the last two decades when it became silly, absolutely silly. Therefore you get situations where clubs, big clubs, get into financial problems, simply because of getting involved in a transfer market that’s not feasible.

“For us, I think we try to keep our values. Sometimes, yes, we do pay over the odds. That’s been the case with many players we’ve brought to the club. But in a lot of cases we’ve bought wisely and very well.”
