He said: “We are going to go bouncing into Wembley.
“Winning the title has certainly helped us and now we are looking forward to the FA Cup. It will be great to play in the first final at the new stadium.”
He added: “My experience of 1993 was it opened the door for us. The next year we won the Double. We slaughtered the league the next year.
“I am looking forward to next season already. I am looking forward to this team developing and maturing and to going on and winning a European trophy along with the Premiership.
“The rivalry with Chelsea is intense. They spent all that money and won the last two titles at a canter. We had to do something and have done it the right way.”
