United have long been linked with a move for Ozil and Ferguson admits he is an admirer of the German youngster.
Ferguson watched a pre-season friendly between Fulham and Ozil’s club, Werder Bremen, on Saturday.
Ferguson told Sky Sports: “I was there to look at Fulham.
“Ozil is interesting a lot of teams but at this moment I trust the ones I’ve got. I’ve got a really good squad of players.”
