Man Utd fast-track wonderkid linked with Newcastle and Aston Villa

Manchester United wonderkid Bendito Mantato featured in first-team training on Wednesday.

The 16-year-old is regarded as one of the highest-rated talents in England and Ontheminute.com have previously reported on the interest from Newcastle United and Aston Villa in signing Mantato.

United remain hopeful that the youngster, who can play both as a left-back and on the right wing, will sign professional terms when he turns 17 next year.

Mantato was joined by fellow youngsters Willy Kambwala, Habeeb Ogunneye, Toby Collyer, Ethan Wheatley, Ethan Williams, Sonny Aljofree, Louis Jackson, and Charlie McNeill in the training session yesterday.

United’s injury problems this season has seen several youngsters given an opportunity to play for the first-team, with Kobbie Mainoo already becoming a key player for the club.
