The talented 14-year-old has impressed United coached and was asked back in February or March.
“They have said that it went well and that I should come back in February or March,” Tronstad told fvn.no.
“It’s a bit special to visit Manchester United since I am a Liverpool supporter. But I felt it was a good chance.”
Norwegian youngster Mads Daehli and Herman Stangel has also impressed United and are set for second trials at the club.
