The Scotland international featured for 45-minutes int he 0-0 draw between United’s second string and their Arsenal counterparts at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Fletcher had been out of action with a virus since the clash with Liverpool at Anfield on 6th March.
He told MUTV: “It’s great to be back and to get the minutes under my belt.
“I think that’s a good positive thing for me. It’s been a while and I just wanted to get back out there. Hopefully I can keep pushing forward and get myself back in the plans for the first team.”
When asked if he could feature for United against Arsenal in the Premier League at the Emirates on Sunday, Fletcher added: “I don’t know. I’ll see how I am tomorrow – I’m not going to rush it and set myself back.”
