Huntelaar joined Real from Dutch side Ajax for a fee of €20million in January, but has failed to make an impact for the Spanish side.
French newspaper La Provence says Marseille are keen on signing Huntelaar in order to boost their chances in the Ligue 1 and Champions League next season.
