Villa are enduring a difficult season, and currently lie 1 point above the relegation zone, and have won only 6 of their last 25 league games. Houllier has brought in new disciplinary measures including the banning of mobile phones.
Amid rumours of discontent or even mutiny throughout the squad, McAllister told BBC Sport:
“I don’t think there’s any mutiny here. There’s been little arguments here and there but nothing outside the realms of what happens at most clubs.”
Veteran keeper Brad Friedel also shrugged off the rumours, saying:
“Supporters need to know there is nothing in this story.”
