McCarthy said: “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Craig Bellamy.
“I love being here. Everyone says it rains every day but it’s sunshine some days and it’s fine by me. Blackburn were persistent and it was always my dream to play in England.
“If I did well and a big club came in for me, it’d be up to Blackburn. But if they want me to stay, I’ll stay.
“Blackburn’s wish is my command. I want to stay loyal to them. They gave me a chance.”
