Milner said: “I’ve played more games this season than any other season at Newcastle. Last year at Villa I was playing every week and it’s good to get back into that.
“It’s nice to get a decent run in the team and obviously you play your best football when you’re playing most games and getting a run.
“I’ve been lucky enough to get that run this season and hopefully I’m showing my best form.
“It can be difficult to get your form when you’re in and out of the team, playing 10 minutes here, starting a game and then being dropped.
“It’s great that the fans have taken to me so much. Now we want to keep the momentum going as much as we can.”
