The Romanian striker failed a drugs test in 2004 whilst at the London club and subsequently had his contract terminated.
The striker, currently banned for 9 months for failing another drugs test, will be forced to pay back the £14.3 millions pounds in full.
“It reached the conclusion that this was not the case and the Romanian footballer’s appeal was unfounded,” the court said in a statement.
