Burley has returned to management after being sacked as Scotland boss last November.
“I am not fazed by what happened with Scotland, it was a great experience and I learned a lot from it,” he said.
“But I missed the day-to-day running of a club and I am delighted to be here. We have a great youth set-up and we want to build on that.
“Although I am not setting strict targets, we could get top six next season.”
