Newcastle United and Aston Villa have emerged as front-runners in the pursuit of Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe.

Football Insider reports that both clubs are ready to pounce if the 23-year-old becomes available in the coming transfer window.

Arsenal, facing a pivotal decision, might consider offloading Smith Rowe, whose current season has been hampered by injuries and stiff competition, limiting him to just three starts.

Despite loan interest from West Ham in January, Arsenal retained Smith Rowe, eyeing silverware in both domestic and European fronts.

Newcastle’s ambition to elevate their squad and Villa’s longstanding interest, fueled by Unai Emery’s admiration from their Arsenal days, positions them as prime destinations for the English midfielder, under contract until 2026.

With only 14 appearances this season and an ongoing battle with an ankle issue, Smith Rowe’s future at Arsenal hangs in the balance, with potential moves on the horizon.
