The winger has been linked with a move to Newcastle in recent weeks.
Weiss said: “I spoke to Mancini about the situation and I am going to start pre-season back at City.
“If the boss wants to keep me I will be very happy.
“The competition is tough because there are a lot of big-name players at the club, but that was the case last season and I still got in the side, so that is my aim again.”
