Pienaar has not scored for the club in almost a year.
He said: “I need to score more goals.
“It’s something I am working on. If I can contribute five goals in the Premier League a season then that would be an achievement for me.
“The last two seasons have been a drought for me in front of goal. I should score more goals.
“I’m a team player and I’m happy to help create goals. But I want to be able to contribute more with goals when the chances come my way.”
