Poulsen has struggled at Anfield since joining the club in a £4.5million move from Juventus last summer.
He said in the Daily Star on Sunday: “You never know in football.
“My family are really happy here and I am really happy.
“I’ve signed for three years, but let’s see after this season. It depends on a lot of things, but I’m happy to be here and happy at the club.
“There’s good support for the team and it’s understandable that new players who haven’t been here that long don’t have the credit from the start.”
