Voetbal International reports that PSV are in the market for a midfielder as Ibrahim Afellay could leave the club.
Mertens said: “I’ve heard about the alleged interest of PSV. I’d be a decent replacement for Afellay.
“We have similar playing styles, especially the way he played for Oranje this summer. I’m not yet ready to play in a holding midfield role though.”
