Puyol said: “The Brazilian is a great player, but we already have very good players in that position like Thierry Henry and Andres Iniesta, who can also play on the wing.
“I think we have a comprehensive squad.”
Robinho joined City in September 2008 in a £32.5million deal from Real Madrid.
