Beckham’s contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy is set to expire at the end fo the current Major League Soccer season.
Fernandes has confirmed that he is keen to bring Beckham to Loftus Road, but could face competition from Tottenham.
Fernandes told Sky Sports News: “Let’s see. It’s early days. It is something that I think that would be good for the club.
“But we’re a long, long way from anything.”
