The highly-rated defender has been linked with a move to Juventus and AC Milan recently.

“I know that both clubs like the player, but Schalke believe a lot in him, as was stated at the last club meeting, and it will not be easy to lure him away.
“Are other European clubs interested in him? No, only in Italy, apart from an old attempt by Bayern Munich.”
