The Spaniard is considered the Premier League’s best goalkeeper but he caused concern when he suggested he may leave the club a few months ago.
He said: “I am looking forward to next season. I have always said [that I will stay] – of course there was a bit of doubt back in December and January because we were not even close to where we are now.”
