Renato signs new Sevilla deal

He said: “I am happy in Sevilla now that I have decided to stay until 2011. I will be 32 then and that would be a good age to return to Brazil.

“That is not my definitive decision, though, and it is not impossible for me to finish my career at Sevilla.

“My family is happy in Spain and that is sensational. For me this is the best year in my career.

“Perhaps my absence from the World Cup 2006 was a positive thing for my fitness. Now I am finished with the Brazil team.

“I believed I had a chance to play in the Copa America but the coach has decided on other players.”
