Robinho can net 30 goals this season – Wright

Robinho netted a hat-trick in the 3-0 win over Stoke last weekend.

Wright told the Sun: “It’s definitely possible for him to score 30 with the way City play.

“They’re so attacking and they’ve got so many players who want to get forward and do great things.

“He could have scored five against Stoke the other day so it’s realistic that he can do it.

“If he has the hunger to achieve it, I can definitely see him getting that many this season.

“City create so many chances and play good football so the more confident they get, the more they’ll feel like they can do anything.

“It’s the sign of a confident man who can announce that he can score 30 goals.”

Robinho joined City from Real Madrid for £32.5million on transfer deadline day.

He added: “A lot of questions are being asked of him — and they’ll continue to be asked while he’s at City because of the money — but he’s a great player and he could go on to be even better.

“He’s put himself under a lot of pressure because people will be looking at him to find out if he’s a mercenary.

“If it doesn’t go well for City, it will be interesting to see if he wants to leave.

“At the moment he looks like he’s enjoying his football and he’s playing good stuff.

“But it’s all good times at the moment and people will want to see what happens if City hit bad times.”
