The highly-rated goalkeeper has signed a contract that will keep him at Roma until the summer of 2015.
The deal will see Stekelenburg earn around €2.7million-a-year at Roma.
Roma and Ajax have agreed on a €6.3million transfer fee for the highly-rated goalkeeper.
