Roma skipper fit to face Milan

The 33-year-old suffered a problem with his right knee in the victory over Napoli on Sunday.

Tests have revealed that Totti only strained the patellar ligament and should be back in two to three weeks.

“I was really scared,” said Totti.

“I couldn’t and didn’t want to stop now. The scare had cancelled out the joy for the two goals and the win.

“But I am relishing this brace that has allowed me to catch up with [Gabriel] Batistuta. [Antonio] Di Natale is still ahead of me, but I cut the gap and I hope to catch up with him soon.

“The team showed great character, we suffered but deserved to win and the table looks more interesting now. I will focus on healing during the international break and I hope to be back to face Milan.”
