Rosicky happy with new Arsenal deal

Rosicky has been struggling with niggling injury problems in recent years and reports have suggested he has signed a pay-as-you-play deal, something the midfielder denies.

“All the things that were speculated on in the press were total nonsense,” Rosicky told deniksport.cz.

“Like, for example, the fact that Arsenal were hiding something because they refused to reveal the length of the contract. If you look, you will see that they don’t publish that information for any player.

“That is their right. There are no secrets. Somewhere else I read that I had signed a contract with an option for an extension, but there is no option.”

“I always knew that if I hadn’t signed by 1st January I would be a free agent and could basically talk to any club,” he added.

“That is why I wanted the deal done by the New Year.

“Arsenal have always been my priority and that is why I did not want to start any speculation.”
