The Spaniard has signed a four-year contract and will join the German side for an undisclosed fee.
“I am leaving Atletico both happy and sad,” Jurado told reporters.
“I am happy because we won major titles together and to say goodbye to the team after winning two titles is a dream come true. My move to Schalke was inevitable.”
