He told The Sun: “They’ve spent a lot of money this summer and I’m sure they can qualify for the Champions League.
“But you’ve got to start seeing a real return and Martin Jol needs to produce a trophy.
“He’s got the best managerial job in the country as he appears to be under no pressure to win anything.
“Perhaps it’s there behind the scenes, but publicly there are no demands on him to deliver.
“With the money he’s spent, he needs to start getting a pot or two under his name.
“The minimum should be Champions League football this season.”
