The 24-year-old is not happy being forced to play in midfield by coach Martin Jol, following the departure of Nigel de Jong to Manchester City.
“I don’t like it that the coach uses me as a midfielder one week and plays me as centre-back again the following week. I’m a defender and I’m convinced that I’ll return to the Selecao if I return to my favourite position,” said Silva to Trivela.com.
“I might make the decision to leave the club this summer if my current situation doesn’t change. Firstly, I need to know which teams are interested in securing my services though.”
Silva’s contract with HSV expires in 2013.
