The 33-year-old joined Stoke last summer from Aston Villa and his contract with the club expires in 2011.
“My plans are to end my career abroad but that’s a few years ahead of me,” Sorensen told Ekstra Bladet in his homeland.
“I am 33 and my contract with Stoke ends in 2011. If everything goes as planned, I hope to stay for some more years.”
