Bale has been linked with clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid after impressing for Spurs in recent seasons.
“He is such a good player and the way he was out there was just amazing,” Bassong told The People.
“He’s not going to leave though, I’m positive. He’s staying with us.
“Everybody was already talking about Gareth Bale before he scored that hat-trick.
“But he has to keep working and I’m sure he is going to be a top, top player.”
