The Daily Mirror reports that Redknapp is much admired by Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, who draws up a shortlist of named for the job.
Redknapp managed to break Spurs into the top four and secure Champions League action at White Hart Lane.
Dalglish is reportedly close to Redknapp and the two families have been tight ever since Harry sent his son, Jamie, to Anfield to start his top-flight football career.
