The Londoners lost 2-1 at Everton on Wednesday.
“I felt first half we came back from an early set-back – a couple of minutes, 1-0 down – came back, played well first half, scored the goal,” Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
“And really I felt we should have gone in 2-1 up for sure – there was a great opportunity just before half time when Gareth broke away and then him and Crouchie had a big open opportunity between them and it should never have been offside really in that situation.
“But second half, Everton picked the pace up, got after us, we started the second half sloppy, put ourselves under pressure, invited them onto us, got the crowd up for it.
“And credit to Everton, they upped the pace second half and they had some good opportunities to score and we had some opportunities on the break as well but certainly it was a much more difficult second half.”
