Modric was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but Spurs forced the midfielder to remain at White Hart Lane.
“The chairman has come out and said that he is not for sale so he is not for sale,” said Redknapp.
“We need him here. He is a big part of what we’ve done so far this season. The good form we have been in, he has played a massive part in that, so we are not going to rip our team to pieces halfway through the season.
“We are in there scrapping (for the title). We’ve got half a chance and he has done great for us so we don’t want to lose him.
“We are not going to lose him and he is definitely not going anywhere in January. No chance.”
