Reports have linked Foster with a loan move to White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.
“If United wanted to loan him, and I don’t know if they do, it would be a problem for him to go somewhere and not play. He wants to play for England,” said the Tottenham boss.
“(Heurelho) Gomes is my first-team goalkeeper and has been fantastic so there is no point in coming here as a number two.”
