Spurs keeping tabs on Slovenian ace

The 23-year-old has been a hit for Palermo in the Serie A this season, scoring eight laague goals from 23 appearances.

“I have not had contact with Tottenham executives but it is indisputable that the player is liked by the English club,” Armir Ruznic told reterete24.it.

“For Ilicic, there are several teams in the English and Spanish league, as well as the Italian one, interested, but at present there is nothing concrete that would suggest a departure from Palermo at the end of the season.

“Also, president (Maurizio) Zamparini has confirmed to me on several occasions his intention to build a team around the likes of Ilicic and (Armin) Bacinovic to help the team aspire to make major breakthroughs, like Champions League qualification.

“In the near future we’ll be discussing their contractual situations, but the players shouldn’t be leaving Palermo in the next two years.”
