Lineker believes the Tottenham ace is ready to become a global superstar.
He told The Mirror: “I think Gareth can become a real world great. He has enormous potential and is improving really quickly.
“He can do it all, already. He can run all day and has that bit of extra pace and acceleration, which is an unusual combination. He is powerful and his delivery is very precise. He has a wonderful left foot.
“The other thing is that Gareth is so competitive and works hard. If he doesn’t get injured he can become one of the world’s great players.”
