Pulis said: “They are in trouble and there is no hiding that fact. But I hope they stick with him.
“It’s time the board showed a bit of character and backed him. We all know results are important and that if things don’t go well you are going to be under pressure.
“As managers we all lie in the same bed and we know the rules by which we have to live.
“But the chairman got rid of a popular manager in Martin Jol not so long ago and he didn’t do a bad job by all accounts.
“This lad Ramos has fallen on rough times but they have the players to get out of it.
“Every manager can go on these runs. I’ve been there before. And it is times like this that you need a board to be strong.
“I watched a tape of their defeat to Hull and they should have won that game. That’s my opinion. I’m sure Spurs will not remain at the bottom because they have a lot of good players.”
