The Dutchman broke his big toe after colliding with team-mate Christian Genter in training on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old said: “It’s obviously very disappointing, but I will focus on rehabilitation and work hard to return.”
Boulahrouz has made 21 Bundesliga appearances this season for Stuttgart, who are currently eighth in the league.
