The Australian has struggled to hold down a regular place at the Blades since joining the club from Sydney FC in 2007.
The 25-year-old spent the second half of last season on-loan at Norwich City.
The Australia international has also been linked with several other European clubs, according to Dutch newspaper TC Tubantia.
