The 27-year-old has gone under the knife to solve a knee problem.
A statement on the club’s official website said: “Midfielder Gaetano D’Agostino underwent surgery today on his left knee.
“During surgery, a complex lesion of the lateral meniscus was discovered, for which an extensive resection was necessary.
“D’Agostino is expected no earlier than two months time.”
